I suppose inherent in each one of us is an internal struggle between good and evil.
Combat it seems is deeply instilled in all of us, somehow modified as the drive to survive. The sword as a symbol has always been, not an instrument of oppression, but of righteousness.
This conditioning probably stemmed from the “knights Templar” – The protectors of the church. It is easy to visualise an outstretched arm with the sword held high – King Arthur, Guinevere and the famed lady of the lake. Combined with the mystical Dragons, Griffons, Eagles, Serpents and a myriad combination of other powerful beasties, come my shields. Each of the swords is unique in itself. Personal attention is given to the shaping and sanding of each item. Made with care and finished with attention to detail.
The Battle axes naturally accompany the combination of sword and shield effortlessly and could definitely be used defensively, but not for chopping wood.
All items are made from wood, the swords in particular made from recycled red meranti skirting boards. i.e. Very strong. I reasonably guarantee any items I sell locally in Knysna and will repair free of charge.
